at last a solution to a long lasting gripe – the default american spell checking in 10.6… system preferences > language & text > language… click on the edit list button at the bottom, deselect english and enable british english. please note that you need to log out before the change becomes available.

graphisoft has posted upgraded wibu drivers (v 5.3) for compatibility with snow leopard here. despite the potential installation problems described here, we had no trouble at all.
