who we are.


All macinteract staff hold university degrees in Architecture and we have a combined total of over 30 years of international industry experience in European and Australian offices.
In addition to continuing practical experience with ArchiCAD, Vectorworks, SketchUP & Adobe CS on real projects, we have in the past also contributed to the development of ArchiCAD as beta testers and are actively involved on various forums.

  • Daniel Schagemann

    Dipl. Ing. arch. (TH) MSc arch

    Daniel has worked on high end residential, educational, institutional & infrastructure projects in Germany, Australia, New Zealand & Singapore, as well as contributing renderings & animations to a number of successful national & international competition entries. 
He has over 14 years experience with mac systems & ArchiCAD going back to MacOS 7 & ArchiCAD 6.5. Since 2003 Daniel has gathered experience as architectural assistant, cad manager and network administrator at an Award winning Sydney firm before starting macinteract.
    Daniel is actively involved in both Apple and Graphisoft run product development and beta testing programs.
    He is continuously involved in university teaching, previously at ifib & COFA and recently with a Course on ‘Digital Fabrication’ at University of Technology Sydney.

    Owen Sharp

    BSc arch

    Since 2001 Owen has gathered experience as Senior Designer and BIM Manager at various Award winning australian firms, working on a number of large scale university and commercial projects. He also worked with Architects in Berlin, Germany.
    Owen joined macinteract in 2007, as an ArchiCAD specialist he is proficient in GDL programming and the creation of BIM Management Plans.
    Owen has taught both ArchiCAD and REVIT at the University of Technology Sydney.

    Alex Rink

    Dipl. Ing. arch. (FH) M arch

    Alex recently joined our team at macinteract. With a background in 3D architecture, using ArchiCAD for over 5 years at various practices overseas. He has used ArchiCAD on a variety of small and large scale projects, including international design competitions. He has since become a veteran Vectorworks expert, expanding our expertise.
    Since 2006 Alex has gathered experience as Senior Designer on various scale projects at an Award winning Sydney firm.
    Alex has taught at the University of Technology Sydney and is currently teaching Vectorworks at Sydney’s College of Fine Arts.

    Arne Heeres

    MSc Architecture, Urbanism & Building Science

    Since 2004 Arne has been employed by small to large offices throughout Europe and Australia, working on anything from single residential to large scale residential and mixed use projects as well as competitions.

    Arne has joined the team at macinteract with a solid knowledge of various CAD and graphic software packages. Originally from an Autocad / PC background he was converted to the church of MAC / Archicad upon arrival in Australia. Besides being a lead designer he has been instrumental in helping a large award winning office to convert to and set up standards for Archicad.
    Arne has been teaching design at the University of Sydney and UTS since 2008.

    Philip Green

    Nat Dip Arch Tech

    Philip has over 10 years architectural experience working at all phases of high end residential, commercial, industrial and public projects in New Zealand, Australia and England.
    He has comprehensive ArchiCAD, OSX and iOS experience most recently as BIM Manager and Mac systems administrator for a multi-award winning Australian practice where he developed and implemented standards, templates, procedures, workflows and GDL objects.
    He is also actively involved in Graphisoft run product development and beta testing programs.
